Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeCrawfordville is the county seat of Taliaferro County, one of the smallest and poorest counties in Georgia. Several movies have been made in this picturesque small town, including "Coward of the County," starring Kenny Rogers and "Summer of My German Soldier," with Kristy McNichol.
Crawfordville was the home of Alexender H. Stephens, Vice President of the Confederate States of America, 1861-1865. The Stephens' home, Liberty Hall, is preserved as a part of the Alexander H. Stephens State Historic Park and is open for tours. There is also a small Confederate museum in the park.
