Lake City Travel Guide

Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and see
Lake City is considered to be the gateway to Florida.  I-10 and I-75 intersect here.  It is a small Nort Florida town that is rapidly growing.  The main industry 50 years ago was farming.  Now the main industry is tourism.  There are several lakes in the area for fishing, swimming, or skiing.  The Suwanne River, Sante Fe River, and the Itchetuckee are all near.  Picture tubing down the cool crystal clear river of the famous Itchetuckee.  It is a wonderful way to spend a lazy summer day.  The people are friendly, and the schools are great.  The Florida Hiking trail and several national forests are nearby.  The area is a beautiful place and a great place to visit.
