Pro Sports in DenverEdit This
Denver is home to several professional sports teams, including the Broncos, Rockies, Avalanche, Nuggets, Rapids, Mammoth, and Crush. It is easy and fun to catch a game any time of the year.
For all you football fans, don't miss a home game of the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are two time world champions. The fans are some of the best in the NFL and you will quickly be adopted into the "Orange Crush."
Denver's baseball team is the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies play in Coors Field, which should be a stop on any tourist's list. The stadium is designed in the classic ballpark style and offers incredible views of the Rocky Mountians. Also don't miss the purple row of seats in the upper deck located at exactly 5280 ft. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the outfield and then join the huge crowds of fans at the several sports bars lining Blake Street. For those die-hard baseball fans, tours of the stadium are available and the Rockies even have their own microbrewery on the site!
The Colorado Avalanche are also two time champions, bringing the Stanley Cup to Colorado in 1996 and 2001. They currently play at the Pepsi Center which is adjacent to Elitch Gardens. They share this space with the Nuggets, the Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League, and the Crush of the Arena Football League.
