Trine's Cafe #3

If you're looking for a fancy boutique-style Mexican restaurant, don't look here.  This is Mexican food reality at it's best.  The plates come hot and full.  The chille rellenos are incredible as is the red sauce provided on the table (a hint of mesquite), and if they have any cocido left...order it.  At times the restaurant is loud and crowded, and parties of more than four often present challenges.  The juke box plays nothing but pure Mexican joy.  The walls are covered with murals and mirrors, and the menus are under plastic on the tables.  There are plenty of Mexican food choices in San Jose, but in my opinion none are as unique and flavorful as Trine's Cafe #3.
