California Academy of Sciences

Unfortunately, this museum is undergoing a major refurbishment. Actually that is an understatement - they're building a whole new complex to house the displays! The new area is only 100 yards away, so shouldn't be too difficult to find. If you ask for the Aquarium in the Park, most taxi drivers will know where you mean! It is situated slap bang in the middle of the Golden  Gate Park - just across from the Japanese Gardens.

The full size T-Rex skeleton in the foyer was amazing as were most of the other exhibits. Particularly enjoyable was the Steinhart more..

Cartoon Art Museum

Don't expect a huge museum, it's just a couple of rooms and thus a little underwhelming. Still worth your time if you are into cartoons, especially good for fans of Dr Seuss.
