Mountain View Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeMountain View is a big/small town in the heart of Silicon Valley, small in that the center it self basically is one street (Castro Street) with some decent coffee shops, three book shops and loads of Asian restaurants. For beer, the Irish have cornered the market with two pubs. Big it is too, since it is really spread out, overflowing into Palo Alto .
Mountain View's claim to fame as many Silicon Valley cities, are of course its high tech companies. Lycos, Intuit, SGI and Netscape used to be the big names, but of course nowadays Google is the hottest thing. Unfortunately visiting these companies is very hard unless you know some one there, since they tend to be very secretive.
If you have the time, you might visit the Computer History Museum at Shoreline
