Redding, situated in northern California, is a town surrounded by mountains on three sides, and two nearby lakes (Whiskeytown and Shasta). It has a decent amount of attractions, such as the Sundial Bridge, and a large amount of trails. In fact, Redding has so many trails that it is now the headquarters of a trail organization known as 'American Trails'. It is quite a nice place to explore, and easy to get to, as it is located along Interstate 5 and State Highway 299.
