Garberville is a small town about 4-5 hours north of San Fransisco, it could be considered as a gateway into the Redwood Country as it is located in Southern Humbolt County.

The EEL River is an excellent place for a swim or a picnic.

For 23 years Piercy (just outside Garberville) has hosted the famous: Reggae on the River concert in August.
