Griffith Park and Mountains

For the best views of Los Angeles and for some exercise head to Griffith Park. Who says there is no natural beauty in Los Angeles? Griffith Park is a series of Mountains left by the Griffith family for the sole purpose of serving as a public park. It is the largest urban park in the United States.

There are many hiking trails and most lead up to the peaks of Griffith Mountains. Yes, you can even climb up to the Hollywood sign. Check out the Griffith Park website to find your favorite trail. For me, all the trails are fun. One of the best trails and the one with the most shade begins at the Carousel on Griffith Park road. You must have a car for this or wait for bus 94 that goes from Downtown to Burbank.
