Kernville is north of Isabella Lake on the North Fork of the Kern River which flows into Isabella Lake . The area north of it is the Sequoia National Forest . There are many beautiful back roads through the mountains to spend days exploring. In spring time the river is full of white water enthusiasts. They have many campgrounds up and down the river.
