Juneau Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeJuneau (population of 32,000, as of 2004) is the Capital of Alaska.
Juneau is a popular cruise port, but offers lots of options for non-cruise visitors, too. The city offers so many shore trips that you only have time for just a few, so pick carefully, or plan to return and stay longer to enjoy the amazing scenery, great hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing and enjoy the community.
At the docks the passengers line the upper decks watching eagles who line up in the trees watching the cruise ships.
A little known fact is that there are no roads connecting Juneau to the rest of Alaska. The only way to reach Juneau is by air or sea. Therefore numerous cruise ships visit here. Also float planes are constantly taking off and landing in the harbor.
