Fairbanks is  the second largest city in Alaska. Located in the interior of Alaska, about 250 miles north of Anchorage. Fairbanks has an area population of  about 85,000 people. It is located in the scenic Tanana Valley, with warm summers (up into the 90s) and cold bitter winters (as low as  -50). Fairbanks is home of the University of Alaska-Fairbanks campus, and nearby military installations. It serves as the economic hub of interior Alaska.
