Mobile Travel Guide

Mobile is the original home of Mardi Gras, and the original capital of Louisiana. It is part southern, part cajun, and the only port city in the state. Downtown features some great historic architecture and a riverfront park. The USS Alabama battleship park is great for history and military buffs, and be sure to visit the free Fort Conde museum and visitors center downtown. Mobile has become a progressive city as of late, and currently has the second tallest under-construction skyscraper in the state; the RSA tower, and also has a cruise ship terminal and maritime museum being built.
