There is a very nice, well preserved covered bridge in Cullman County Alabama. The name of the bridge is Clarkson. At the bridge is an old storefront-looking building complete with a porch swing and full length porch. Inside are public restrooms and a small antiques shop. On the grounds are picnic tables, hiking trails, and an old buliding complete with a water mill.Besides the bridge is a historical landmark plaque telling the history of Clarkson Covered Bridge. It is a very pretty place and well worth the time to visit, plan a pic-nic and see a part of our past.
