Edit This

Grasslands National Park was created to preserve a portion of the prairie grasslands habitat. The park features large prairie dog towns and other prairie wildlife. The park also represents the area Chief Sitting Bull came to after decimating the US cavalry at the Battle of the Little Big Horn in 1876. The pursuing US cavalry was turned back at the Canadian / US border by the Canadian Mounted Police. For more information, including a virtual tour of the park, visit Grasslands National Park
