DesBarres Manor Inn is a 10 room luxury bed & breakfast inn on six acres in the heart of the village. Built in 1837 for Supreme Court Justice W.F. DesBarres, the room was completely renovated in 2003 with elegant common spaces, spacious guest rooms, open gourmet kitchen and fine dining room.
The Manor is filled with antiques, original art and rare maps, some from the Atlantic Neptune, considered to be landmark in Canadian cartographic achievement. The maps were prepared by DesBarres' grandfather, J.W.F. DesBarres and were published between 1774 and 1784. Guest rooms include special touches such as luxury bed linens, robes, spa bath products and complimentary high speed wireless internet.
DesBarres Manor is known for its gourmet dining and guests take part in a Taste of Nova Scotia reception with the Chef during the summer months.
