Rich in history, Guysborough was first discovered in 1398 by Prince Henry Sinclair. The community was founded in 1636 by Nicholas Denys who went on to build Canada's first commercial brewing operation in 1659.
Today, Guysborough is a pleasant spot to visit with luxury accommodations, a waterfront pub with a microbrewery, a craft store and art gallery, golf resort, marina and excellent trails.
