St John's can be cold and very wet and you might feel like having a nice dinner in one of the numerous restaurants of the city. Most of them offer fish, mainly cod, and a cosy atmosphere.

Enjoy your meal in one of the most famous places such as the Westminster or Pasta Plus for example and forget about the bad weather. People gather to have fun and you'll certainly love spending a night with "real" Canadians.

Two Indian restaurants, many Italian ones, and a buffet in many places at lunch time for you to eat "as much as you can".

Discover one of the many culinary treasures of St John's thanks to the list below:

Located in the heart of downtown St. John's, this restaurant is well known and a good choice for visitors. Among the favourite dishes you'll find fresh and smoked fish chowder, warm spinach salad, scallops, lobster platter, blackened salmon, steaks and lamb rack and you'll certainly enjoy deserts such as a bakeapple cheesecake, a cranberry-apple crisp, a creme caramel or a tiramisu.

The wine list is quite long with wines from France, Australia, Germany, Italy and, of course Canada. The prices range from 26 CAD to 180 CAD for a French Corton Charlemagne '96. If you feel like a more..

A very nice place in one of the main streets, where people like to gather for a hearty dinner in a very warm atmosphere.

Why don't we start with Oliver's breakfast, which is composed of omelettes (club, chicken fajita, western, greek..) but also pancakes, French toasts and so on. You can have lunch from 11AM until 4PM, with chicken and broccoli crepes in a rich white wine parmesan cream sauce (8.95 CAD) or chicken quesadillas, filled with cheese, tomatoes, peppers, onions and banana peppers (6.95 CAD).

We also advise you to try the pasta selection and especially the more..
