St. Andrews Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeThe Algonquin Hotel was built in the 1880's and then purchased by CP Railways in 1903. The Algonquin Hotel now is owned and operated by Fairmont Hotels but the century-old charm has been maintained. It is an excellent hotel in St. Andrews-by-the-Sea and is the main tourist attraction in the city.
Its dining room serves outstanding gourmet meals and the setting in the sunporch in summer is terrific. A community college in the city is fortunate to have its students in the hotel course do work placements at The Algonquin to learn how to work and serve in an upscale hotel.
