Assiniboine Park Zoo

The animals of The Assiniboine Park Zoo include representatives of insect, fish, bird, and mammal groups. Over 237 species are housed here with more than 1300 specimens exhibited. Emphasis is placed upon acquisition and propagation of rare and endangered species. The Assiniboine Park Zoo is open every day of the year and provides, a variety of programs such as 'The Lights of the Wild', Reindeer Sleigh Rides, interpretive play structures, a Zootique Gift Shop, and a Zoo Classroom running interpretive programs for students. The East Gate entrance and parking for the zoo is at 54 Zoo Dr. The seasonal zoo entrance and South Gate are at 2595 Roblin Blvd.
