Folklorama
Edit ThisThere is no central site for The Festival but rather, Folklorama is spread throughout the entire city of Winnipeg in venues that represent a culture from around the world. In 2003, 47 cultures were showcased throughout the two weeks.
There is something for absolutely everyone at Folklorama! In 2003, Folklorama welcomed 438,000 pavilion visits and another 50,000 people to the Government of Canada Folklorama Kick-Off at Assiniboine Park. The Festival can generally attract over 400,000 pavilion visits each summer! A festival with heart and soul, Folklorama is whatever you want and make it to be.
Full of valuable information, the Free Folklorama Guide will help you plan your tour of Folklorama during the summer of 2005. The Guide will be available on the Folkorama website by the end of June 2005 so you can get a jump-start on your planning. The Guide includes a brief description of each pavilion, hours of operation, showtimes and much more!
Every pavilion has a 35-45 minute show at the standard times of 6:45, 8:15 and 9:45pm. Some pavilions will offer additional shows outside of the standard times so be sure to check The Guide!
