The City of Duncan is located approximately 35 miles or 50 km north of Victoria on Vancouver island BC Canada Duncan is celebrated as the city of Totems. There are number of native totem poles through out the area plus a exceptional native cultural center.

Duncan is the hub for a much larger area called the Cowichan Valley. Vancouver Island is one of the major tourist destinations for Canada . The area is well known for its moderate climate making it a holiday destination for all seasons. Cowichan valley is acknowledged for its fine food and award winning local wineries. Aquatic sports such as sailing; kayaking, fishing (fresh and salt water) and scuba diving are rated with the best in the world. Other local interesting activities are Hiking, Horse back riding, Oldest lawn tennis court in North America, Riding steam trains at the Forest Museum and Golf countless reasonably priced ($40.00 CD per round) picturesque top golf courses.

There is an Indian Village in town that should not be missed. A lesser known fact of Duncan is that the largest hockey stick in Canada is located in front of the hockey arena.
