Fort Saskatchewan

The city beyond the northeast corner of Edmonton was established as a
fort by the North West Mounted Police in 1875. In 1913 the fort was
transferred to Edmonton, and the site in Fort Saskatchewan was
demolished. Fort Saskatchewan Museum encompasses nine buildings dating
back from 1900 to 1920, including the city's first court house, a log
farm house, one-room school, church, blacksmith shop and farm sheds.
Open May/June & Sept daily 11 am - 3 pm; July/Aug daily 10 am - 6
