Shopping on Canal Street

Shopping on Canal Street

Joseph Hollick

Walk down any New York street on any given day of the week and you will notice hundreds of locals parading down the streets with their very own look and style. And by the time most cities catch on to a "new" trend, New York is already well into setting the next one. New Yorker's always dress to impress whether they are dining in a casual New York restaurant or engaging in a number of New York activities. This means staying stylish is a full-time job and New York certainly has enough stores to keep locals busy at work. Locals head to Canal Street for cheap bargains, Soho for funky styles and designer chic, 5th Avenue for Prada and Gucci or Madison Avenue for Gaultier, Versace and Valentino. No matter what your style of budget, New York is home to hundreds of amazing places to shop -- so you will always find exactly what you are looking for.

Uncle Sam's Army Navy Outfitters

Edit This

A "Fashion-Forward" Army Navy retail store for all ages.  This store is COOL.  They currently stock Military Clothing from all over the world, supplied from 26 different countries. Pick up a VINTAGE Jacket off one of their outrageously low priced racks, or a Durable 1928 Back Pack for your books.  I did, and I've never been more satisfied. Truly a unique shop where top fashion designers get their inspiration, which is senting all the trends.

Beware of the numerous electronic / photo shops there, the prices are sky high. Don't buy anything unless you are very shure of the market price. Otherwise you might buy at 3 or 4 time the normal price.
