Nha Trang is one of Vietnam's premier seaside resorts. Miles and miles of empty beaches, deserted bays, numerous islands and coral reefs provide opportunity to swim, snorkel and scuba dive. Training and equipment for diving is available in Nha Trang. There are many mid range hotels and one mediterrean style resort in the area. Nha Trang is home to the summer residence of the last Vietnamese emperor, Bao Dai. Ana Mandara beach resort is one of the beauties in Nha Trang with their special designed bungalows, beautiful garden, private beach and nice restaurants and is managed by Pavillion hotels group from Thailand. Today the palace is converted into a hotel.

Seafood restaurants and cafes ring the beach side area and the food is excellent. Quiet beaches can be found minutes from the center of the town. Boat trips to surrounding coastal areas and islands provide another escape for the traveller.

If going to a seafood restaurant isn't to your liking, you can rent a boat and purchase fresh seafood off the coast.  Local fishermen have set up "farms" in the middle of the sea.  There you can pretty much get any type of seafood your hearts desire.  (Their main speciality is lobster.)

Venture a little further and you would see an aquatic preserve and aquarium filled with beautiful ocean wonders.  If you don't enjoy that, just go further and come to a resort style beach.  There you can rent water crafts or enjoy swimming in the clear aquamarine blue waters.
