There are restaraunts for pretty much any kind of cuisine you could want to eat. Dearborn has a great selection of Middle Eastern and Arabic restaraunts, Madison Heights has a lot of far-eastern restaraunts available on John R street.

American Coney Island
Edit ThisThis Detroit institution has been open since 1917. Located in downtown Detroit, American Coney Island offers a menu of hot dogs, fries, and other fast foods, 24 hours a day. Their feature item, the Coney Island dog, is a hot bod covered with chili, mustard and onions. The restaurant is staffed by older Greek men who have worked there for forty years; they add to the charm, yelling out orders and telling stories of years gone by. For quick, cheap eats...American Coney Island is the place to stop in Detroit.

King of Kabob
Edit ThisThe restaraunt is small, and decorated with american western motif, down to photographs of boots with spurs on them sitting next to a plate of eggs and bacon. It's obviously from a previous tenant. But their Beef Kafta is exceptional, and the prices are very reasonable. Bring cash, because the credit machine seems perpeptually broken.
They offer takeout, and you can call ahead, so there's no excuse not to try their food, even if you're in a rush. The owner is a great person and makes you feel at home. Service is exceptional, though this is common with many Middle East more..
