Hasan Tahsin Monument

The Historical Elevator

The old Asansor quarter, filled with old restored houses is also know as the Jewish quarter Dario Moreno Sokagi a the main pedestrian street to the Asansor itself, which is an elevator that was built in the 19th century At fifty-one meters in height it provides access between the lower and upper streets Situated on the upper side, the Asansor restaurant  and bar offers a beautiful view of Izmir. Probably one of the best views of Izmir can be seen from here. Fee to go up and come down is only : 0,25 YTL which is 15 Euro cents.

Bird paradise of izimir

Clock Tower

Clock tower the symbol of Izmir is in Konak Square - the heart of the city. It  was built in 1901 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Abduhamit II's accession to the throne. The clock itsetf was a gift of Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany. it is decorated in an elaborate; late Ottoman style. The 25 meter high tower is currently being restored.

Izmir Fair&Park

The Ataturk Museum

The museum is on 1st Kordon ( Atatürk Street ) and it was established as a house by carpet merchant Takfor between 1875-1880. The building was deserted by its owner on September 9th, 1922 and transferred to the ownership of the Treasury. The Turkish army who entered to İzmir used this place as headquarters. Atatürk executed his personal activities here when İzmir Economy Congress gathered on February 17th, 1923.
