Inis Mor is the largest island and has about 800 inhabitants, Inis Meain is 5 km and has two pubs for 250 people, Inis Oirr is the smallest of the three islands and has a castle that can be visited.
The islands can be reached by ferry or plane. There are 2 ferry companies :

Aer Arann also fly to each of the 3 islands from Connemara Regional Airport in the town of Inverin, just 17 miles west of Galway city
