West Hollywood Travel Guide

West Hollywood, Los Angeles's answer to San Francisco's Castro District, is more than just the city's so-called "gay hangout."  Indeed, there are many gay bars and clubs which cater to the new and established gay communities, creating an open and welcoming atmosphere for the population.  However, the area is becoming increasingly popular for LA's hip, young crowd, gay or straight, because of its proximity to several popular music venues, its great window shopping and people-watching, and the various quirky stores and coffee shops that line the main avenues.
