Lukavac is second largest town in Tuzla Canton, (Federation of BiH, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Consctrucion of the first sodium factory in the Balkans (end of 19th century), started  "the renaissance" of this small town. In time of Ex-Yugoslavia it was one of the most important heavy-industry centers.
Nowadays "Lukavac-Town" counts roughly 15.500 inhabitans, whereis whole Lukavac-municipality reaches number of 54.000 residents.
Besides its industry in the after-war period ('92-'95) Lukavac became known for its "Modrac-lake" (Blue or Indigo Lake) and Bistrac-Lake ("Little Ontario"). Indeed some of destinations to be seen once visiting this congenial Bosnian town.
