Now there is a new lodge near agumbe bustand itself-Mallya Residency-which has quality staying facility.

Alternatively, you can stay in the town of Sringeri which is about 7 Kms from Agumbe, with a frequent bus connectivity.

But not many know that the erstwhile village land-lord’s family welcomes guests to stay in their house, for a nominal charge. Kasturi Akka (Akka means elder sister in Kannada) is the owner of the house, and a kind lady.

This is a comfortable and affordable place just opp. to the bus stand.

Pradeep and Sudhindra both are very cooperative, Ashok is an Auto Driver where he provides service of 24 hrs in case of emergency.

Mallya Residency is opp bus stop. Place is safe and quite ok. The place is run by two brothers Sudhindra and Pradeep Mallya.
