Ski in Brembana Valley

Zoo "Parco Faunistico Le Cornelle"

This magnificent zoo is open from 9 to 19:00 in April/September and 9 to 17:00 October/March. Besides a white lion it has every kind of animal a good zoo should have. There is a restaurant in an old train, a self-service restaurant, a bar, picnic tables, rest rooms, a nursery for changing your baby, a small electric train for kids, souvenirs and a cash despensing machine. Entrance fee: €10.00 for 12 years old and up, €8.00 for 3 to 8 years old.

From March to October on Sundays and Holidays an ATB bus goes hourly to the Zoo.

Swimming Pool Centro Sportivo Italcementi

Swim all year round - in the outdoor pools in summer and in the indoor pools in winter. The gymnasium has bleachers to seat 1,000 people for the viewing of sporting events such as volley ball, basket ball, indoor soccer or other events like Karate and so on.

Hiking and Climbing in the Mountains

There are numerous sports to practice on the rivers in the Province of Bergamo such as canoeing, kayaking and canyoning.

Refuges

There are mountain refuges only reachable on foot or sometimes by ski lift - to take care of your eating needs and also provide sleeping facilities upon reservations in the four Valleys: Serina, Taleggio, Brembilla and Brembana. Or bring your own food and just sleep there.

Bicycling along the Adda River

Actually you can go bicycling from Bergamo to the mountains, the lakes or the countryside depending on how good of an expert you are. You can mountain bike in the "Parco dei Colli" or in the local mountains. Everywhere you go by car you can see the racing cyclists - professionals or beginners - pedaling along in the beautiful scenery during all seasons.

Almè Scuba Divers

Theoretical and practical lessons in the Almè public swimming pool for skin diving, underwater fishing and diving, scuba diving and International diploma S.S.I. (Scuba School International) with specializations in:
MINISUB /OPEN WATER DIVER, ADVANCED WATER DIVER, CPR FIRST AID and STRESS AND RESCUE / DIVECON.

Also special events are attended all over Italy and excursions to grottos or other spaces with underwater exploration possibilities.

Volo a Vela Aeroclub

This is the airport and club for gliding airplanes and a school for an International and Italian Gliding Pilot License. The clubhouse has a swimming pool, tennis courts, dressing rooms with showers, bar, restaurant, a children's play area, aeronautic video library, weather satellite, television and general lounge.

Recipes and Typical Dishes

But take some of these ingredients home with you because it will be hard to find them out of Italy. So go to the supermarket to get gifts to take back home: coffee, olive oil, cookies, cakes, a jar of pesto sauce, cheeses, wine, Parmesan cheese in a big hunk, candied chestnuts, Perugia Kisses, olive oil with truffles and more.

The Italian Alpine Club goes on some of the most beautiful excursions right in the Orobic Mountains in the Province of Bergamo. There are trails that go from refuge to refuge in this spectacular paradise.
