Birrificio Ristorante Pizzeria Maivisto

A Brew Pub which sells 4 kinds of beer - home made with local mountain water and passion: pils, ale, double bock and a scotch ale which can also be had from the spout. It's located in an old restructured building with a cantina, a courtyard and a terrace with room for 500 people. Closed Mondays.

There are five kinds of beer sold also in bottles, barrels and in gift packages: Berghem (double malt), Brembo (blond), Paciana (red), Arlecchino (Weiss), Natalina.

Il Pianone

Local Italian food is served in characteristic dining halls or on the splendid panoramic veranda of this tranquil restaurant on the hills of Upper Bergamo. The building dates back to the 1650s.

Go up to Città Alta and past Colle Aperto (not through the old stone door but to the right) along Via Beltrami until Via Al Pianone. There is a big private parking lot. If you are a trekker - it's not far.

Taverna del Colleoni Dell'Angelo

Located in enchanting Piazza Vecchia in the Upper Town in a Bramante Palace with outdoor dining in warm weather, this glamorous restaurant is owned by Pierangelo Cornaro, an internationally-renowned chef. Service is top-class, while its spacious vaulted rooms have once appealed to the great architect Le Corbusier. It has been a meeting point for intellectuals, painters and poets ever since.

This restaurant on a hill surrounded by nature and with a panoramic view has seating for 230 people on the veranda outdoors, 40 on the ground floor and 80 people on the upper floor. Ristorante Lio Pellegrini with One Suite

This fine restaurant is located across the square from the Carrara Art Museum and is quite a work of art in itself. It has a restaurant, a veranda, an outdoor garden restaurant in warm weather and a suite which includes breakfast and parking.

Abacanto

Along the lake in an elegant setting with carefully selected furnishings for a romantic evening. Closed in March and Wednesday at noon.

Agritourism Prati Parini Restaurant and Rooms

An ecotourism farm that raises brown alpine cows and makes formagelle and taleggio cheese and butter. There are cattle, pigs and courtyard animals. All of these products can be bought or used in the restaurant. A small mountain hut has been reactivated at Parini Fields at 850 m. altitude and reacheable only by a foot trail (a 30 minute's walk) along an antique trail through the woods.

There are  rooms with 20 beds and room outside for 5 tents in the summer season. Full board is €40. From Bergamo go north to Valle Brembana and pass through Vill d'Almè until you more..

Da Vittorio a Brusaporto

Da Vittorio's has moved out a few kilometers from Bergamo into the country at Brusaporto, a place surrounded by greenery, lakes and swimming pools.
