The train to Paranaguá

It doesn't run every day, it doesn't run all year round. But the journey is great. The train takes you trough spectacular landscape down to the port city of Paranuguá, where you can relax for an afternoon, before taking the train or the equally spectacular bus back to Curitiba.

Curitiba's train station is located behind the long distance bus station.

Guaratuba

Guaratuba is a favorite summer-break destination for "paranaenses". It is one of the busiests beaches in Parana and attracts people from all over the state. Taking a ferry boat to cross the bay is part of the fun of getting to this beach.

While it is not as neat as Caioba - which is just across the bay - it is still one of the most popular beaches.
