First settlements in the place of contemporary Evpatoria were founded 2500 years ago by Greeks. Throughout centuries, city in this place was called Kerkinitida, Gozleve, Kozlov, and finally Evpatoria. Today Evpatoria has about 100 thousand inhabitants and is a well known tourist destination.
