Towering high above Dover is Dover Castle. At this spot the Romans built the Pharos Light house in the 1st century AD.

Inside the castle you can find a military museum, film center and the "live and let spy" exibition about surveillance equipment.

The white cliffs are found along the coast on both sides of Dover. You can't miss them. These are the cliffs that Shakespeares King Lear wanted to jump off before Edgar took him down and let him to Dover instead.
