Day Trips
Edit ThisTequila express
Edit ThisHighly recommeded for tequila aficionados as well as those that are looking to master this Mexican creation. A train will take you to the town of Amatitan (not Tequila), where you will visit the plant (belonging to Casa Herradura) where it is manufactured as well as a tour of the grounds along with tastings of course.

The town of Tequila is about 90 minutes from Guadalajara, and is famed for the alcoholic beverage of the same name. You can take a second class bus to Tequila from Guadalajara's old bus station (near Parque Aqua Azul) for MXN50 one-way. Once there, walk to the main square, where you can decide on which of the many distilleries to visit. There is also a church on the square, and a museum to visit.
