Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris
Edit This
The Four Seasons Hotel George V is as poised and polished as the day it opened in 1928: the original Art Deco detailing and 17th-century tapestries have been restored, the bas-reliefs regilded, the marble-floor mosaics rebuilt tile by tile. Rooms are decked in yards of fabrics and Louis XVI trimmings but also have homey touches like selections of CDs and French books. Le Cinq restaurant is one of Paris's hottest tables, thanks to the legendary Philippe Legendre of Taillevent fame. You could lose yourself for hours in the labyrinthine spa and fitness center, which has everything from a shiatsu massage room to a specially brewed ginger tea. Even children get the four-star treatment with personalized T-shirts and portable DVD players to distract them at dinnertime. www.fourseasons.com. 185 rooms, 60 suites. 2 restaurants, room service, in-room safes, minibars, cable TV, in-room data ports, indoor pool, health club, hair salon, massage, bar, shop, babysitting, children's programs, business services, some pets allowed, no-smoking floors. AE, DC, MC, V. Métro: George-V.
