London and its Surroundings

During your trip to United Kingdom, London and its surrounding locations are must-see destinations to be included in your itinerary. Besides being a capital of England, London boasts of an array of splendid attractions that are historical wonders. Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, Big Ben and Tower of London are some of the national treasures that London feels proud of. If you plan to roam about the nearby locations of London, you must head toward Windsor Castle or Hampton Court for spending a nice day sightseeing. You can also visit Canterbury and the famous Canterbury Cathedral.

Bath

After you complete your tour in London, just take few days off to explore this magnificent city called Bath. Besides being known for its famous resident Jane Austen, Bath offers plenty of historical sites for tourists. Roman baths, Bath Abbey, the Royal Crescent, the Jane Austen Centre, the Victorian Art Gallery and Fashion Museum are some key points in Bath frequently visited by tourists. The Royal Crescent, the architectural chef-d'oeuvre of John Wood the younger, is situated near Royal Victoria Park which is a wonderful spot for picnic. The Roman baths and one of the amazing medieval churches of England, the Bath Abbey are situated next to each other.

Scotland

Scotland is a beautiful country known for its lush landscape and historical structures. Some of the most visited tourist points in Scotland include the Burns National Heritage Park, Culzean Castle, Edinburgh Castle, Glencoe and Melrose Abbey. The Burns National Heritage Park was founded in 1995 in memory of the illustrious poet Robert Burns. Built in 1772, Culzean Castle displays a huge collection of 18th century furniture and weapons. Edinburgh Castle, on the other hand, is a 3,000 old castle which was a royal residence of Scottish kings and queens. Inside the castle, visitors can view the relics and artifacts that will give an impression about the royal heritage. Glencoe, a stunning Highland valley, and Melrose Abbey, an extant Gothic construction, are worth spending your time visiting.

Wales

Another amazing country of United Kingdom is Wales, famed for its breathtaking natural beauty and historical architecture. Some of its most visited tourist sites are Brecon Beacons National Park, Green Bridge of Wales, and Conwy Castle. Brecon Beacons National Park is a wonderful site for nature lovers who can spot different migratory birds here. Established in 1957, the park is an ideal place to spend some time in tranquility amidst nature. The Green Bridge of Wales is an excellent natural arch created by the sea in the precipice of the Pembrokeshire coast. Constructed in 1289 by Edward I, Conwy Castle is another outstanding site admired by all.

Brighton

Near London is Brighton, sometimes referred as "London-by-the-sea". With only being an hour by train from London Victoria, it is worth visiting. On summer days, walk along the beach and the Hove promenade. You can hire kayaks, SUP (Stand up paddle boards) from Brighton Watersports on the seafront. Places to visit: Pavilion dome, Brighton Palace Pier, Theatre Royal, Churchhill Square, North Laines and the lanes. The Downs are nearby for nice walks. Lovely place to visit.
