Edit ThisPeterhead has two museums - the Arbuthnott Museum housed in the same building as the library and the Maritime Museum at the links. Both are free entry, note the Maritime Museum is only open during the summer months.

Free entry. The museum contains an interesting collection of coins, one of Scotland's largest. Information on Peterheads history with respect to Whaling and the connection with the Inuits, there is a stuffed Musk Ox and several other Inuit artefacts. They also house temporary exhibitions in the Arbuthnott Gallery.
