Getting Around in Glasgow
Edit This
Glasgow has the biggest urban rail network outside London and has excellent transport links, which make getting to and touring the city easy. The City's International Airport is less than 30minutes from the city-centre and the city's second airport, Glasgow Prestwick is within easy reach with its own purpose built rail station.

In the City Centre the buses are plentiful. The city has its very own, indeed one of the first, underground rail systems. The Underground, affectionately known by Glaswegians as the 'clockwork orange' serves most areas of the city's core and also shows the historical boundary of the city in the late 1890s when the system was constructed. The urban rail network links the city's urban areas and outlying towns as well as providing services to the rest of the UK, including a shuttle service to Edinburgh in the East.
