Eating Out in Glasgow
Edit ThisCafe Gandolfi
Edit ThisThis Merchant City restaurant has grown into a Glasgow institution over the past quarter century, with a reputation for serving simple yet excellent food. With its dark wood panelling, stained glass windows and black and white photos of European cafés, the dining room has a timeless feel. The Tim Stead-designed, organic-looking wooden furniture, which dates back to the venture's earliest days, still seems fresh. The all-day menu has stood the test of time as well, offering classic Scottish ingredients alongside more continental options, whether salads or pastas. A bowl of more..

Cul de sac
Edit ThisDownstairs from the Attic, and upstairs from its similarly named restaurant, this a cool bar both in its Ashton Lane location and its clientele. This being another pub popular with the student crowd, the place is usually very busy, with loud upbeat music in the background, and a slightly larger capacity than its partner bar above it. Still definitely worth a stop.
