Shopping in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a great place to go shopping. One of the best known shops is Jenners, a large luxury department store, but there are many specialty shops around the City Centre also.
Victoria Street, just off George IV Bridge, has a number of small independent shops, mainly catering to tourists, while Cockburn Street, off the Royal Mile, is home to many Goth culture shops.
Almost all the major UK and international chain stores are represented in Edinburgh as well, with the St. James Centre, Princess Mall (both of which have fairly reasonably priced shops), and The Walk (which is exclusively home to luxury stores) all within a couple of minutes walk from the East End of the city centre.
