Getting There in Edinburgh

The Edinburgh Airport is located just to the west of Scotland's capital city and is within easy access to the country's main road network, reaching the whole of central Scotland and beyond.

The coach park facility is located at the east end of the terminal building .This off-road facility has been designed to accept pre-arranged and ad-hoc coach and bus operations for the setting down and picking up of passengers only. A coach and bus parking area is provided towards the long stay car park. The coach park also features covered passenger walkways leading to taxi stands, public service buses and shuttle buses for off airport car parking.

Edinburgh's main railway station is called Waverley and is located in the city centre.There are services to Glasgow and a variety of other destinations in Scotland and England. Most train services also operate from Edinburgh Haymarket station which is on the main bus route between the airport and city centre.

Taxis (cabs) are available from a rank on the terminal forecourt. Fares vary according to the distance travelled but a typical fare to the city centre would be approx. £13, with a journey time of around 20 minutes.
