The Hop Poles

A great pub and the best place to eat if you're on a budget.  Located Just off the seafront. Huge meals for £4-£8 not strictly vegetarian but like a lot of places in Brighton has a large vegetarian selection.  The Chile (which is only vegetarian) is especially good. Two menus are available, the regular one and a second one that changes every day. The atmosphere is great and friendly, but it is very popular so getting a seat can be difficult, and as it is strictly a pub first, tables cannot be pre-booked.

Havana

Exclusive first class restaurant with cockail bar in the South Lanes. The restaurant has contemporary luxury decorations, and usually they have a live piano player or soft jazzy background music. Food style is continental, and absolutely delicious. A bit expensive with a set price for three course dinners, but worth every penny.
