The East Midlands is a historic region with many sights. The region played an important role in the industrialization of England especially the textile industry, but the history of the region goes back a lot further, to the Battle of Bosworth that ended the War of the Roses and put Henry Tudor - Henry VII - on the throne or to the days of Mr Darcy at magnificent stately homes at Chatsworth House, Belvoir Castle and Kirby Hall.
