Todmorden Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeTodmorden is to the far west of West Yorkshire. In fact the border between Yorkshire and Lancashire was once a brook running under its large Italianate town hall. It is now part of
Calderdale in Yorkshire.
Todmorden's industrial history owes more to the cotton of Lancashire than to Yorkshire wool. However Todmorden was connected by both canal and rail with Yorkshire first as the stretches of the Rochdale Canal, recently reopened, and the original trans-Pennine railway between Todmorden and Littleborough, now in Greater Manchester and Rochdale were the last to be built and represented a triumph at the time.
