Walking

England offers hundreds of miles of foot paths. Walking around England is a good way to see the sites and the beautiful landscape. The rights of pedestrians are protected in England and even though some of the paths are on private property you are still protected.

Taxis and Car Hire

Taxis are readily available in all major cities. The taxis are metered so you will not have to worry about negotiating a price. You also have the option of hiring a car while on your holiday. Hiring a car can be expensive but the benefits can outweigh the price. Using a rental car will allow you to see the city and countryside on your own time and in a relaxed setting.

Trains

England has one of the biggest railroad networks in the world. You can get almost anywhere in the country via railroad. Traveling by train also allows you to see the countryside while traveling. The train system tends to be a little more expensive than buses and other public transportation.

Air Travel

Air travel is not as common in England as it is in other parts of the world. If you do need to get to another city fast the option is available. Keep in mind that traveling by air is the most expensive option and you should book in advance if possible.
