Widecombe Travel Guide

Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and see
Widecombe is possibly best known for the song, 'Widecombe Fair', about a horse who died after carrying seven people to the fair and then haunted the moor.

It should be noted for its church, sometimes called the 'Cathedral of the Moors' on account of its spectacularly high tower, for its splendid position at the heart of the southern moor and the fine walks around its area and for its two old pubs, the so-called 'New Inn' in the centre and the even older Rugglestone Inn half a mile south, small but super!
