St Just in Penwith Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeSt Just in Penwith is one of at least three St Justs in Cornwall. It's the most westerly town in England, historically geared to tin mines, as is much of north-west Cornwall.
As yet it has not fallen victim to the trend of so many English towns to look identical with the same shops. It has a number of 'real' shops, a post office and several pubs.
This is an area of granite churches and that of St Just is typical in some ways but it has the distinguishing feature of two medieval wall paintings, which were discovered when plaster was stripped during restoration works.
It is a great centre for a holiday with good bus services, beaches, cliff walks, prehistoric remains and fine churches readily accessible.
